When I was writing this song, I would sing it to myself every night before going to sleep. I have a tendency to take responsibility for everything and need reminders to let go.

A friend of mine travels to Isle au Haut every year on vacation.  This year before his trip he called the island’s only grocery store and spoke with a “charming” French woman.  He was smitten and asked me to write a love song about them.
